About German Mittelstand Business Hub in Morocco

The German Mittelstand Business Hub (GmbH) in Rabat is based on a collaborative initiative of the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) and the German Association for SMEs (BVMW). This strategic task force serves as the central contact point for German mid-sized enterprises looking to establish or expand their presence in Morocco.

Our mission is to provide real, practical end-to-end support based on years of experience working with German companies in Morocco, offering a comprehensive support ecosystem designed to de-risk your investment. We bridge the gap between initial market entry and long-term operational success by combining BVMW Morocco’s local network and legal expertise with GIZ’s workforce development support.

Through targeted coaching and upskilling programs for your local teams, we ensure a smooth, competitive, and sustainable integration into the Moroccan market.

We remove the administrative friction of entering a new market by offering:

  • Legal & Administrative Guidance: Expert support to help you navigate Moroccan regulations and local business laws.
  • Physical Establishment Solutions: Immediate options for setting up your local presence, including "same-day" virtual office services for rapid activation.

Workforce Development

In collaboration with GIZ, we ensure your local team meets the high standards of German industry through:

  • Tailored Staff Training: Industry-specific training modules delivered at no cost to your company.
  • Expert Coaching: On-site technical coaching to align your teams with international quality and safety standards.
  • Continuous Upskilling: Ongoing development programs designed to maintain your long-term competitive advantage.

Network & Strategic Contacts

Expansion is a team sport. We provide direct access to the stakeholders that matter most:

  • The BVMW Ecosystem: Immediate connection to Europe’s largest SME network, comprising over 28,000 member companies.
  • High-Level Introductions: Strategic bridges to Moroccan government officials, industry leaders, and potential local partners.
“Community is Strength. This is especially true for the Mittelstand.”
